Green Unlimited has grown to become the Ottawa region's
largest, greenest, independently-owned, organic lawn care company...

Chris Urquhart started Green Unlimited as a one man operation with a single truck. He used his knowledge and experience in the industry to build his business into the largest, independent, organic lawn care operation in the Greater Ottawa area. Chris is proud Green Unlimited is still locally owned and operated... and to this day most of his original customers, are still loyal Green Unlimited customers.

All of our staff members have been professionally trained and continue to update their knowledge and skills through conferences, seminars, round tables and field training.

Some of the Green Unlimited team...

Chris – With well over 20 years experience in Ottawa's lawn care industry, Chris strives to bring his intense interest and solid understanding of agronomy and horticulture to the entire Green Unlimited team. He believes in having fun at work, while providing his customers with great service, delivered in an efficient, timely way. As a Maritimer, Chris loves to fish, work on his golf game... and dote on his wife and daughter.

Mike – With his boundless energy – and lots of coffee – Mike is committed to beautifying Ottawa lawns and serving Green Unlimited clients with a professional and caring attitude. A daring amateur chef, he loves trying new recipes on his family.

Dave – An easy-going nature and good work ethic make Dave a natural at keeping lawns looking their best and keeping customers happy. He's an active guy, involved in tennis and hockey after work, having played competitively for years.

Mike W – As our newest team member, Mike has learned the ropes by helping our veteran team members provide the very best lawn care service to our customers. Mike also loves sports, having played competitive hockey and lacrosse for a number of years. During the summer months he's an avid golf guy.

Our Community involvement... 

The Day of Tribute...

2005 was the declared The Year of the Veteran and the Green Unlimited team marked it in a special way. Chris’s wife Sharon originated the concept of a ‘Day of Tribute’ to honour all soldiers who've valiantly given their lives for Canada over several centuries... and she saw it though to reality.

The Day of Tribute took on a life of its own as Sharon – on behalf of Ontario's green industry through the Ottawa Chapter of Landscape Ontario – organized a day of volunteer work in which landscape industry professionals came together at the National Military Cemetery to do what they do best.

Teams of volunteers answered the call and came out to help fertilize grass & trees, plant flowers, mulch beds, install interlocking paths and prune trees for the military grounds of the cemetery. This beautiful community project has now become an annual event that brings out the best our industry has to offer. The Green Unlimited team is proud to have played a key role in launching it and watching it grow.

The Cancer Survivor Park...

Community involvement is very important to the Green Unlimited team, and since we’ve all been touched by cancer directly or indirectly, we chose to become involved with the Cancer Survivor Park when it was being built at the corner of Alta Vista & Riverside Drive in Ottawa.

Everyone had a great time being involved and helping such a worthy cause.
