2005 was the Year of the Veteran and was marked in a special way by Green Unlimited. A 'Day of Tribute' was created by Sharon Urquhart in order to honour the memory of the soldiers who valiantly gave their lives for their country. On behalf of Ontario's Green Industry, Sharon organized a day of volunteer work in which lawn care providers & landscapers joined together at the National Military Cemetary to do what they do best. Teams of volunteers answered the call and came out to help fertilize grass & trees, plant flowers, mulch beds, install interlocking paths and prune trees for the military grounds of the cemetery. This beautiful community project has become an annual event that brings out the best our industry has to offer. We are very proud to have played a key part in launching this important event.
